Dan & Rose - Personal Illustration Project

Over the last few years, Jared has illustrated stories of he and his wife as children's book characters, Dan and Rose. While a personal project, Jared has written and illustrated books as well as many greeting cards. The image above was from his Christmas card, 2016.

"Hope" Campaign -   Refuge Film For his 2012 documentary film, Refuge , Jared developed this "Hope" campaign for print and web. Each version featured different images from the film inside of the wordmark. This campaign was most prominently used as Facebook Banners that thousands of users downloaded and set on their own profiles, advertising the film.

Visual Identity - Noble Limits Creative Company

For Jared's freelance company, Noble Limits, he created a visual identity targeted specifically at wedding clients. He designed the brand to feel both elegant and modern, blending thin serif typefaces with bold, clean mid-centrury sans. The color chosen is slightly warmer than traditional champagne, aimed at evoking a sense of hospitality and professionalism.

Visual Identity - Refuge

For Jared's documentary, Refuge, he designed a full visual identity inspired by the dirt and grime portrayed by the film. As there was the possibility of future films which would tell stories in other countries, the icon of the Philippines was meant to resemble a spotlight, with the idea that other nations would be in the "spotlight" when logical.

Story Branding - Arrowhead Church

This brand created for Arrowhead Church was designed by Jared to be used in their short-film stories. It was designed to feel personal, like a handwritten note, overtop of a picture from the film that captures the essence of the story.

Kids' Event Brand - Arrowhead Church

As the church sought to create an original event alternative to traditional VBS, Jared created a brand targeted at kids. The design is meant to give the impression of a summer camp, but something generic enough that it could be used over many years.

Podcast Brand - The 10 Minute Think Thru

For a weekly, topical podcast hosted by pastors in East-Tennessee, Jared designed a clean brand with a logo that functioned as an optical illusion of sorts. By using negative space to form the letter "n" in the world "Think," Jared hoped to bring pause and contemplation to the viewer - very similar to the goals of the podcast itself.

Children's Book - Arrowhead Church

In late 2016, Jared led his creative team as they designed and published a devotional book for families. The book was inspired by imagery and patterns from the middle-ages blended with fun, clarendon-style typefaces.
