Shawnna & Taylor - Wedding Photography
They say "Virginia is for lovers," and after this wedding, we couldn't agree more.
Shawnna & Taylor were married on July 29, 2017 in the Emory and Henry chapel and we had the chance to photograph their wedding.
The chapel served as the venue for the ceremony and let us tell you... it was breathtaking. Towering columns, floor to ceiling stained glass windows, bronze chandeliers, and a brick exterior that looks straight out of western Europe - we were in love. It perfectly matched the elegance of this couple.
Shawnna and Taylor were so sweet - both with their families and with each other. Shawnna and Taylor chose not to do a first look, so we did all of their individuals separately before the wedding. The pictures from their individual shoots are great, but when Shawnna and Taylor finally saw each other, you could see them both really come alive. It was so sweet! Huge smiles, lots of laughter, and enchanted glances at each other - I'm not sure they even noticed we were there :)
After the ceremony, we headed to the reception at the Higher Education Center about 15 minutes away. The enormous room punctuated by a large, LED wall over the dance floor provided a beautiful space to celebrate their marriage. Amazing food, dancing, cake, toasts, and a Photo Booth - it was a wonderful evening. We were so privileged to be their photographers and we wish them the best for years to come.
